speaking of pitch perfect- i love it so much

my favorite Characters are Jesse, Fat Amy, and Lilly

however there’s a few things i wish they would have done differently

in the movie they make a point to show how the main girl, Beca, doesn’t like movies because the endings are predictable.

At the end of this movie, the couple gets together and they win nationals. Pretty predictable, i’d say.

Also i thought the vomiting was a bit over done. I’m not queasy, the vomiting didn’t make me sick or uncomfortable, i just thought it was a bit distasteful. Reminded me a lot of the Scary Movie series. just ugh.

And then Beca hands her mixes over to the Radio dude, and he’s like, “Cool thanks.” and tosses it in a basket of other mixes that he doesn’t intend to actually play. OR AT LEAST that’s how they made it seem. I just thought there should have been a moment of Beca going in and seeing her music in a pile, untouched, and she could have been like, “You didn’t even listen to it?” and then maybe later, when she heard her music on the radio, the audience could have been equally as excited for her.

I love Jesse. Jesse is such a great guy, and he cuts ties with Beca for very valid reasons. He told her she pushes people away that care about her, and she better get that sorted out. My second time watching, i realized they had addressed this issue. She went to go see her dad for advice. The whole movie she wants as little to do with her father as possible. Seeing her take the initiate and seek him out showed character growth, and also some forgiveness. Her instinct to push people away was most likely caused by her parents divorce, and so she didn’t want to see herself get hurt the same way by getting too attached (?) i just wish there was a moment where she could explain this all to Jesse because i think he deserves a right to know. 

Great movie. Really funny. would not recommend for kids (too much swearing)
